OMG, I start a thread in perfect innocence! With NO flirtatious comments, no suggestive behaviour and look what it turns into! The "I want to give FTO Girl a massage" thread! and you ALL call me a flirt! Now can ya explain how that happens????
:hehehe:anyway, back on topic.... We've used the same tactic for the past few years and it's worked out really well. We pick a day when we are both free (usually earlier than this, but we didn't have a spare weekend in the last 6 weeks!! ). We then pick a shopping mall and get there as soon as the shops open and we DO NOT come home until we've found prezzies for EVERYONE we need to buy for. Works out really well! ![]() p.s. Nightmare, you know EXACTLY what you're gonna get from me this year!

I just got in from a day of shopping in Portland with a close friend of mine. I'm rather tired, but that's mainly due to the fact that I've acquired only five hours of sleep in two days. We set out with slightly different agendas. I needed some new clothes for an important meeting coming up, and my friend set out to do some Christmas shopping before she headed home for the holidays. We hit the road (after I accidentally slept through a final), dropped one friend off at the airport to fly to San Jose, and then picked up my friend's boyfriend for lunch. We went to an authentic sushi bar for my first sushi experience, and to my amazement, it was really good. Although, I didn't eat much as I got too full after three Philladelphia rolls.
After lunch, we dropped off her boyfriend and headed into the city for some serious shopping. I didn't buy a single item of clothing, and while she did spend some on Christmas gifts, she ended up buying herself more than she expected. lol I was overwhelmed by the big city...highlight of the day, I saw an ice skating rink for the first time in my life! lol...and then we got to watch the Zambonie??? smooth out the ice after the rink was closed. I think I might have made a spectacle of myself when I almost walked into a pole because my eyes were glued in amazement to all the people out skating. We even set out to find a tattoo studio in the middle of downtown Portland...driving there blindly. We had an agreement...she would get her belly button pierced, and I would get a small tattoo on my ankle. Hmm...for being in Portland so much, she sure didn't seem to know where she was going when it was convenient to avoid getting a piercing. She is also an extremely uptight driver, as I found out, which when we were both tired at the end of the day, made it rather...interesting. ![]() Anyway...have I done my Christmas shopping yet? No. I'll start that around the 20th, once I get home and make the rounds to catch up with friends. Congratulations to everyone who has gotten their shopping taken care of!
