Neon vs. Viper

Ive heard about this 8 second neon alot. and i was wondering if it can beat hennessey motorsports viper with 1100 horsies runn in the high high 8's.

nothing against neons, but i don't care how much money you put in, i just cant see a neon outrunning a viper, i dunno, maybe im wrong, but it just doesn't sound possible, esp. with that beefy 1100 hp engine

that is great. i just showed that to a friend that i work with. i have been tying talk him into getting a new and now he is. after he saw the video he put a bid in on an SRT-4 on e-bay. goodie now i get to work on it. he knows nothing about cars so i work on his for him.

You do realize the guy driving the viper could of either screwed up. Or just totaly sucks a dragging. And the viper might not have any mods and the neon probably has all that can be done to it done... lol *shrugs* im all for vipers

Ha! That's Len Ayala in his old car. His was the first Neon (that I know of) in the 11s, 10s, and 9s. That car (2.0L, DOHC, 5-speed, ACR) you see was capable of a 10.55 1/4 mile, and was street-driven occasionally. IIRC, he always drove it to the track.

I have seen a drag race between a neon and a viper...the neon smoked the viper badly...I dont know what they did to the neon but the little fucker was maaaaaaaaad fast!
