My mistake, i meant to put that the GTRs that the use for D1 are RWD... yes, they are converted.

But you are correct, they are AWD from factory.

ATESSA works like this (in a skyline gt-r, this is what one r33 gt-r owner told me)

1st gear: (from a stand still) hey i'm awd
(from 5g rpms) wait wasn't i 4wd? better change back!
2nd gear: ok im awd till about halfway through the gear (assuming its stock flywheel, gear ratio, etc), then im rwd
3rd-5th: hey iom still rwd unless im coming out a corner or slipping.

that's the basucs of atessa if it had a human personality.
