Dodge full-sized vans

I know that the basic Dodge second generation full-sized van design started in 1971 (?) and had three different front end and rear end designs. Ford full-sized vans went through four generations and Chevrolet full-sized vans went through three generations. When I visit Dodge's web site, either I couldn't find Dodge full-sized passenger vans or they discontinued that kind of van, replacing them with Sprinter vans. They still have cargo vans. Jeffrey.

Full size Doge passenger vans are no more

You're right Jeff, Dodge has discontinued full sized passanger vans. The minivan market (which was invented by Chrysler Corp) took a big bite out of the fullsized van market, and virtually eliminated the station wagon market. Sales trends for the last 10 or so years have stedily watched FS passanger vans fall off. In fact, all three manufacturers experienced a slump in pass. van sales, except for the large 15 passenger units. Chrysler, already feeling an economic strain, dropped the FS Pass vans in an effort to streamline.

Dodge will continue to manufacture cargo vans, and there are a number of aftermarketers who wil outfit them as "custom vans" or "family vans", or "travel vans" for passenger use.

I've owned one "A" van, an A100, and a number of "B" vans including B200 Tradesman, a B300 tradesman, a B100 Sportsman, and a B150 Ram Van Royal, amoung others. Everyone of them was an excellent vehicle, and gave me over 200,000 miles of service ( the 150 I sold at 301,000+). Most of mine were 318 vans, But the B200 Tradesman was a 400 x 727, and the B300 was a 360 x 727.
