SHOW vs. GO

SHOW vs.GO
which do u think should be stressed first, and stressed more, the appearance or the performance? which do u give more respects to?

If a lady had an old old old cheap hunk of metal, but motor and modifications all over tricked out and is running 12s or quicker...would u still give her props and full respect? If a girl got a new car all decked out with body kit paint job exterior stuff etc but no performance... would u fully respect that?

Re: SHOW vs. GO

i say don't worry about what other think, and do what you want. If you prefer a fast car, instead of a good looking one go with performance and vice versa. Me, i like a little of both. I'd give props to anybody for making their ride look good or go fast.

I'd have to say each goes hand in hand. You don't want a mangy looking car even if it has LOTS of go, but at the same time one can contradict the other too. If you add TOO much show and have a lot of go, then you'll be compremising some of that go by the added extra weight of the show.

I say go. People fix up their cars with body kits and all that shit to make their cars look fast(form follows function), but if their car isn't atleast quick to back it up, then its worthless. But, there is a point. A nice paint job and dropped are all I need. Other then that, its all pretty much go.

^ What they said...I live by the philosophy "to each their own." My car's going to be all-show...many people don't like it, many people redicule me for it, but I don't care. It's my car, I'm doing what I like to it.

When people say, "I did it for myself" or "I do it cause I like it", rarely is that true; its human nature to do something with the intention of a certain outcome/reaction and its just a defense against those who don't like what you did. Take offense if you want, but none's intended, thats just my .

I do agree though to ignore people who don't like what you're doing. If they don't like it, they don't have to look at it. Do what you want, but remember there will be people who do like it, and always those people that won't like it. Yin and Yang I guess. It's your car and unless they want to pay for your parts then they can't tell you what to do.

It's why people don't buy older gen Rx-7's and 300Z's. Yeah, they're quick, but they're ugly looking pieces of junk.

I think people prefer to have something at least presentable that is fast.

Re: SHOW vs. GO

I agree with it all show and go really. Its what you make of your car. Like civic everyone knows they are slow but ppl rice them up what is what that but then again is there car just do wait you want to do with it.

IF iam right is some show also go. Like intake nice chrome intake or pholised head or something like that done to engine make it have show but a little bit of go? I that makes sence my 2 cents Laters

Re: SHOW vs. GO

it all depends on YOU and what YOU want outta your car ... my neighbor has an ugly ass rust stained nova that would wipe the floor with my GSR , but when we go clubbin or out anywhere , we take my GSR because it looks alot nicer !! I say you can only go fast sometimes , but you can always look good !!
