Re: Turbo b16b (civic type r)

it can be done, anything can be done... but the question is WHY. the b16b is a high compression high revving NA wonder... if you want turbo you could have had money much better spent on a b18b or something along those lines

Re: Turbo b16b (civic type r)

If you install an LS crank, custom rods, and low compression pistions to shove about 6 psi of boost in there, it can be done while still maintaining the ctr's perfect rod/stroke ratio, vtec, and high redline. It'll be a pain in your hairy ass to tune though.

stock US b16 + jackson racing supercharger + intake + exhaust= 200 hp. Personally I think you could do something better with the $3300 for the supercharger.

You can pick up a used JRSC for 1500-1800 bucks. A JRSC with exhaust and a good tune will easily top 200 WHP, with quite a bit of torque, not bad for what you pay.

Re: Turbo b16b (civic type r)

I knew a friend who hooked up a jrsc to his integra type r and it added 20 hp so he sold it. No idea if he hooked it up wrong or what, but I would never hook up a blower to a 4 cylinder.

Turbo > supercharger.
