Where to get a JDM 180sx kouki bumper
I love the look of the kouki 180sx. I want to pretty much replicate that look as much as possible. I have found cheap reproductions of the rear wing but nothing else has come up other than jspec.com saying that it is extremely expensive to try and do
. Do they make reproductions of the body like they do the wing? If not where can you find the JDM body parts? And finally, is it worth it?Here is a picture of exactly what I want my car to look like... only black. here is the part of Jspec.com about this http://www.jspec.com/jspec/18koukcon.html |

Ha
... I was reading another forum and found a website that makes some pretty ricey body kits BUT they do make a repo of the front bumper... no side skirts or rear bumper. O yea the tail lights are moderatly easy to find, just not to cheap (forgot to mention that in the first post).Heres the site http://www.importfan.com/series.asp?SeriesID=137&2=1256 |

try this link, they have the bumper, the corner lights the small orange fog lights. You're probably gonna also need the fender side pieces to go with the shape and flow of the Type-x/kouki bumper. If you're trying to do a complete kouki conversion, they got the Kouki tail light kit, and the kouki sideskirts. I still can't find a place that sells the kouki rear lip, but i'll let u know if i do. You can get an exact replica of a type-x rear spoiler just about anywhere for cheap(search on google and type in "180sx Type X spoiler", you should be able to get plenty of results back). You can get the RPS13 rear center garnish(only fits the kouki tail light kit) at Jspec.com. That's about all the main parts. Hope this helps, good luck.

And yes, very worth it. Especially the front bumper, it's the perfect face for the 180sx. Or maybe the the INGS kit, idk, i can't decide which I like better

let me just clear something up here.
that body style IS refered to as Type-X, but only by uninformed people. the japanese Kouki 180SX (Kouki meaning "later" meaning the newest version of the 180SX that we didn't get) came in 4 trim models. Type-G = SR20DE non-turbo, automatic, alloys, same front bumper but no side skirts, no wing. Type-S = SR20DE non-turbo, automatic, alloys, full aero kit. Type-R = SR20DET (turbo), 5-speed manual, hubcaps, same front bumper, no sides or wing. Type-X = SR20DET (turbo), 5-speed manual, alloys, full aero kit. ALL of these had the exact same front bumper and exact same tail-lights, so when people refer to the bumper and lights as "Type-X style", they are wrong because every Kouki 180SX came with them. and just to back up my claims, here's a scan of a JDM Kouki 180SX brochure with all the info visible (if you squint). sorry about that. i'm just a stifler when people do that and just had to clear it up. anyways, the front bumper (and the sides too i'm pretty sure) is made by a couple of different Japanese aftermarket companies, such as G-Grow, GP Sports, URAS, and a few others. they are way cheaper then the original and usually of the same quality. it'll still be a bit expensive, but no-where near the original since the original is rare...and also you almost always get over-charged for OEM parts. hope that helped.

OHHHH there's a Type-R and Type-S!!!!
Looks like I need to go find some stickers!!! ![]() BTW, saw OEM parts for sale at phase2 and it said the front bumper was Urethane... I'm betting the copies are fiberglass which is probably why OEM costs more. |

Good luck finding the rear valance. If you do find it, it'll be used and probably won't have the center piece. Best bet is to order directly from Nissan of Japan. E-Mail Jspec.com to see if they can get one for you. Thought it'll cost you an arm and a leg.
