Hey all,
I've got an 02 Silverado LT edition. I went in to a local Circuit city to get some pricing for aftermarket cd players and they informed me that the stock cd player for the LT editions have the onstar and serveral other important features incorporated into the cd player itself? I was wondering if this is true? The service rep. told me that I'd have to leave the existing cd unit in the truck tucked back behind the dash board if I wanted to upgrade my cd player to an aftermarket. If ya'll know the truth behind this and care to educate me I'd appreciate it! I'll be lucky to make it back to this site as I just stumbled across it but if you could shoot me an email to [email protected] I'd really appreciate it! Have a good one and let er rip! |

I have a Crutchfield installation guide right here and it says for a vehicle equipped with Onstar an adaptor is needed in order for voice prompts to operate with a replacement receiver. They happen to sell that adapter. at www.crutchfield.com. Trey
