95 Honda Civic Starting problem
When I try to start my 95 Honda Civic I get a clicking sound. The battery is new and fully charged. I read one AF comment that it could be either the starter/solenoid or the main relay. My question is how do I figure out which one needs to be replaced? I don't want to replace both if it is not necessary. Second, where is the main relay located for a 95 Civic? Help!

if it is just a loud click it is probably the starter, or starter solenoid. In either case just replace the whole starter. To see if that is your problem you need a test light or voltage tester. If you use the test light or the voltage tester attach the ground to a good point (the (-) battery terminal is the best) and on the starter solenoid there is a small plug, unplug that and touch the positive side of the light or the tester to the metal connector inside the plug and get someone to turn the key as if they were going to start the car. If the light comes on or the voltage tester shows any where near 12 volts you starter needs to be replaced. Be careful though and use common sense to prevent shocks.

Thanks quick95civic you know your stuff. I did the test and got 12 volts. Replaced it and it cranks like new. Thanks
