Help!!

OK, 95 Neon, it was bogging down a bit tonight on acceleration (yes the air filter has been changed recently),then it started to make a buzzing/static sound from the front, sounds like from the passanger side intermitently, then the idle went high while stopped at a light, then it would seem to lose power and stalled out on me. It started right back up though....any ideas??? I use this car for work and I drive for work. Any help would be appriciated!!!

Re: Help!!

Hard to say too many things it could be . the only clue is static sound.. If you hear a snap snap sound coming from engine check the plug wires for arcing ....car runing in a dark area you will see the sparks jump. if so a quick fix is wd- 40 spray wires with engine off. check it again. If plugs are worn out this will cause arcing

Re: Help!!

Thanks I will check it out,the idle semmed very high for a few days ladt week and it read a code 51 also. The check engine light went off and it seemed to act fine until tonight,I had chalked it up to the 10 below zero weather we were having,I am looking up a few things in my Haynes manual right now.

Re: Help!!

Have you looked at your plugs and wires? How about the battery and alternator connections? You can get the last two checked for free at most auto parts stores.
