help to decide to stay with coil overs

Hey guys! I always read through the forums and I like the way you help others. I have a couple of questions. I bought my 97 hatch CX with aerospeed coilovers, now I saw that most coilovers don't drop as far as these but the ride is trash. I just put the SI 15 on the car and it looks sharp. I am getting alot of wear on both front and back tires. Should I A)buy progressive springs and kyb shocks. Or B) stay with the coil over sleves and change the springs and shock and purchase the camber kit. I like the low ride but the streets of new York do a number on the cars. What is the best thing for me to do Guys. Put all your mod knowledge together.
P.S. I also bought a 95 ex head and was givin a 99 SI computer could I put the v-tec SOHC on my car!If so how should I go about doing this.

well, arospeed is junk, so scrap them...if you're looking for coilovers with a nice ride, check out the Ground Control coilovers. Pair these with the KYB AGX shocks or a set of Koni Yellows and you'll have a nice drop with a somewhat smooth ride. The reason for the tire wear is the negative camber most likely. Get a camber kit for the front and see if you can fix the rear camber using the washer trick.

I agree, Arospeed is junk. KYB AGX does NOT recommend them to be used with any type of adjustable sleeve - warranty VOID. Go with Koni yellows if your going with sleeves or lower than 2" on springs. Tokico & KYB are stock length struts which don't function properly with more than 1.5-2" drop. I would look into the Tein's through AF, nice discount on quality parts. Since a civic has no camber adjustment, camber kits are needed for proper alignment 0-1.5" not a big issue 1.75"+ is an issue(camber kits highly suggested). I wouldn't go more than 2"

You get what you pay for when it comes to suspension, don't be cheap!

you definately get what you pay for, i have drop zone coilovers and they are so rough, i am starting to want the stock springs back, but i hate to give up the look.

I'd move out of NY I never take my ride there after bending 4 of my rims

Move to PA. Everything is cheaper.
