2000 Civic No Coolant Circulation
Problems with my girlfriend's 2000 Civic, struggling for answers.
She was driving it in extreme cold, all of a sudden the heat stopped, then it overheated. She stopped, when she started it again she thought she heard a noise like marbles rolling around in a pipe from behind the radio, but she's not really sure. Anyways the top hose is hot, bottom hose cold. Civic is backwards system I think because the thermostat is at the end of the bottom hose. I changed the water pump (took a chance, old one looked fine though), then the rad last night. Same problem, coolant is not circulating. The hose going to the heater core is cold as well. We think maybe something is blocking the circulation through the holes in the engine, maybe a piece of head gasket or something? Anybody heard or seen anything like this?? 2000 Honda Civic 1.6 non-VTec, 85000 miles or so. Paul |

have you tried changing thermostat? is ther eoil in the coolant? if not than it is not head gasket. if she is hearing gurgling in the dash it sounds like it is just low.
