best polisher under $300?
Looking to buy a polisher and would like the help of the forum. What would you consider the best polisher for under $300. What about polish, wax, bonnets? I'm looking at the Milwaukee 5400 polisher. Does anyone have experience with this unit? Or.........would you just have a professional do the job??? lol

Re: best polisher under $300?
First question: Have you ever used or had proper training on a high speed rotary polisher? If no, then let the pro's do it. You'll do more damage than good & cost more to fix it.
Milwaukee, Dewalt, & Makita(my choice) all work great. It's an art choosing the correct pad, chemical, buffer speed, & pressure. Something you may wish to consider is the Porter Cable DA buffer, this will not burn or swirl paint like high speed in the wrong hands. Anybody can use a DA or orbital buffer. http://www.topoftheline.com/tolae/porcaborpol.html |
