Cool...nice and simple. Not too overdone.

Looking very cool, and what a wonderfull way to display your models for photo op! Great job.

You need some poster on the wall, photoreduced cars, etc.

Re: Progress Pics of my Garage Diorama

Nice shop! Can I get some space there? I never though of doing a diorama before. Maybe I'll start one myself, I have an abundance of 'stuff' laying around here

Sure thing, I wasn't sure there would be any interest.
The main box is made from 1/4" hardboard and 3/4" cabinet grade plywood.
I went to Hobby Lobby and looked into the doll house section where I found the flooring for about $4 for a 11x17 sheet ( I used 2 ) Its printed on a nice heavy card stock that should hold up well, its glued in place using 3M Super 77 spray.
I also purchased the bricks at Hobby Lobby also. THey are made of real clay and were marked 1/24th scale. THey come loos in bags of 50 for $1.99 or in small sheets like floor tile, I cut mine into 3 strips. The backing is a fine mesh material, its easilly attached with 30 minute epoxy. Any bricks that need trimmed can be cut with a tile nipper.
The walls are just some paper I had around and glued into place just for color, I thought the grey would be nice and neutral.

I do plan on getting some more accessories ( Scale Modelling by Chris ) and I have a few tolls and other extras from kits so it will be well stocked soon.

Thanks guys, I can't wait to finish it p.
I plan on a compressor with a hard line running around the perimiter of the shop so you can hook in an air tool where you are working, some brooms and a sink from scalemodelling by chris. I also have some good pics to reduce and use as wall art.
I got the engine stands out of some AMT Barris Cruising America kits from the 80s and plan on using them to display some of the engines I have acquired at swap meets.
