jap car in america

how in the world do you register a right hand drive car from japan in america? and where. just go to the DMV? what the deal.
a site or a price please.

It doesn't matter if a vehicle is left or right hand drive, you can even have the steering wheel in the middle (McLaren F1) as long as the vehicle meets all the emission and safety standards.
If you want to import a vehicle from Japan, you need to find a Registered Importer (RI) to do it for you. Also you will need to provide evidences which the vehicle you are importing meets all emission and safety standards here in the U.S. unless the vehicle is 25 + years old.
