95 Escort 1.9 Head Gasket

Has anybody had any trouble with head gaskets or a cracked head on there 1.9, I know the older ones had troubles with this. Also just wondering if a 1991 Escort GT (i think it is) head would work on mine?

no it wont. if the car your fixing is a 1.9, and the car your using for parts is a gt. it wont work. all the gt's (91-96) are the 1.8 mazda motor. dohc, 1.8. wont work. sorry.

O.k. if the head won't work how a bout the whole motor?
I would be putting it in a 95 LX , I sapose a lot of the wiring would be differnt then? Thanks for your post
