Possibly new pics of #065 (aka silver one at Park Lane)

Well, I found a batch of about 130 pics while going thru Image Station. Here is the link:

They might not be new, but it says the album was "created" on the 16th of this month. Enjoy

P.S. You'll need to be registered, but it's free.

The photographer on these posts at SC.net so several of us have seen them. It was nice of him to put them all in one place now. They used to be in another album with over 1000 other pictures and they were all spread out.

I'm sure other people will really appreciate you sharing them as we haven't seen many albums with this much detail. Unfortunately he was taking long exposures with the aid of a tripod so some are kind of blurry at max res.

Those are some good photos. He's got practically every inch of the car covered. A little on the large size considering some average at 9mb each! ohwell. One of the photos there’s a close up of the steering wheel with the letters NARDI stamped into the leather. Can anybody tell me what this means?

adam.

Yes. Nardi is that name of the company that made the steering wheel.

A small bit off topic but today I came across this paragraph about #65. It might be old news, I'm pretty zonked out from staying up all night and I can't really remember what I've read or havent. Heres the article:

Robb Report is selling the last new McLaren F1. 64 production road cars were built and all sold except for one. It has been parked in the company's london showroom for a decade. It was recentley removed to make way for the XP5 Prototype. It is now for sale. Harold Dermott, McLaren's head of customer care says, " It is the only unsold, unregistered F1 available. There are definitely no more. It is silver with black interior, 140 miles on the odometer from test runs, fitted luggage, toolbox and full array of services available form Mclaren. Such as a factory visit and personal seat fitting. The price tag is about $1.7 million.
