99 ranger interior light

after driving for a while the door ajar light stays on and when you turn the key off the interior light stays on for about 45 minutes after i lock it up. does n e 1 else have this problem? what can i do to fix it? thanks for the reply!!!

I just replaced the door switch on my 96. I also cleaned the door latch. The switch is inside the door by the handle.

My '97 has the same problem!

I have that same problem with my '97. Is the switch easy to access once the trim panel is removed? I already had them replaced 3 yrs ago when I bought the truck. It's driving me nuts!

where the sensor located in the latch? easy to get to?

i sprayed wd-40 in the latch and it hasnt done it since!! easy fix!!
