ok guys. sometimes when i hit a bump and when i hit certain speeds, my truck starts shaking really hard. my friend said it was because my front wheels are out of alignment. the problem can usually be stopped by jerking the steering wheel to one side , which as you can imagine isn't exactly the safest thing to do going 70+mph on the interstate. i also noticed today that the insides of my tires are balding. could the camber/alignment problem make it shake so hard? it really feels like the truck is just gonna fall apart but then when it goes away it rides perfectly smoothe. when i let go of the steering wheel it drives straight. once again any help would be great.

Re: Truck starts shaking vilently sometimes
The fact that the insides of your tires are bald indicates you have an alignment problem. Either you have negative camber, the toe is out or both.
The shaking is because the tires are no longer balanced after the inside wore off. Time for an alignment and have the tires balanced or replaced. //2000CAYukon |
