Importing a car from the US to Canada

I recently bought a turbo Maxima (AZproducer) and the canadian custom is giving me a hard time with the modification needed to be legal here. I want it to be done in the US before I buy it and they can't give me the things to be done. They exige me to bring it here and do it over here. Anyone Know what need to do? or know anything about this?...

The only thing i'm worrying about is the emission? I heard it was different, but I also heard that canada was less restrictive on emmission. is this right?

They wont tell me what the emmisions requirement are. They want me to bring it here and test it here, but if the maxima doesnt pass the test they are gonna make me ship it back to US and lose all my money. If they could tell me I would test it in the US before I buy it. Considering the max is turbo, would that cause a problem?
