Re: Chevelle Build Up

I dont know if the 700r4 was a good choice for a tranny unless it was really built up for a big block. But put some slicks on that thing and get it in the 11's. Oh and what are the specs on the engine??

you didnt mention if the car is a sb or bb car, while there is no substitution for cubic inches, i would purchase a crate motor for ie bill mitchell or world products, for example. if the car is a factory sb, he offers 454 cid sb chevy motors, with very impressive numbers. check the website as he offers bb chevys too. i ve been around drag cars for most of my life, and although they are intimidating, ive never seen a blower car that was very fast.

Re: Chevelle Build Up

the hemi is great in a mopar, buddy had a 526, and it was nasty in his roadrunner, 650's eight mile on street tires thru the mufflers. but we were talkin about a chevy.
