well I am a superhonda tech for superhonda.com. I just signed up for the hell of it. I was purusing a website my friend built and I saw this on it. WELL here is my opinion. a vette will smoke a supra TT in every area. even a fully built vette will smoke the shit outa a fully built supra TT. everyone needs to open their eyes and look at those races on TV. where rx-7's supra's viper's and vette's all race. NOW from what I always see is that the viper's and vette's are running 1-2-1-2 while the supra's and rex's are running way way behind. Thats also why V8's are used to DRAG race and hit high 4's...with 6000 HP. I love the vette and would buy one if I had the money. I also like the supra TT but it won't beat a vette!:finger:

there are lots of cars that push out tons of power that are street legal... like the twin turbo vettes and vipers with 800plus hp... it can be done and is just as reliable if not more so, than a supra turbo... the only downside is the gas mileage... but a six speed will fix that.
and yes, there are vettes out there with 1k +hp that run on the street. just like there are skylines that run that much hp on the street...
but it is easier to start with a vette b/c it is halfway there... and they are much more receptive to the addons... you can upgrade a turbo for say 50hp... but if you add one to a vette you can get at least 100... hmm...
supra... 320 + 50
vette zo6... 405+100

That Lingenfelter vette with the 427 (428, really) and TT would be street legal, and it also has all-new internals, suspension, etc. Since one has never been built (to my knowledge), power is a question mark. But his work is warrantied, and he doesnt have all the high tech the supra does. I think I will email Lingenfelter soon to ask.

PS, isnt the 870hp Supra 870hp with the NOS on, and less with it off???

PSS, A 3000hp LS1 wouldnt go 2 miles at full throttle before self-destruction.

That would be awesome, a 427 Z06 with TTs In Car and Driver the test results for the 428 (w/out TT) were 0-60 in 3.4 and 1/4 mile in 11.7. They also tested an LS1 with TTs. It did a 3.9 0-60 and 11.5 1/4 mile. It was also the quickest cars ever to get to 150mph, only 14.9 seconds. So combined.......

unless you are only talking about vettes or supras when you say quickest cars ever....i must beg to differ. the McLaren F1 went 0-150 mph in a vette-spanking 12.8 seconds.

They meant cars that they have tested. And if you combined the 427/8, ant the TT, it would be much closer, maybe different.

AND it was only limited by traction.

Also, we should get the Lingenfelter body kit, it improves downforce, lowers drag, and alows 2 inch wider rear tires, which are badly needed.
BUH-BY supra, muhahhahahahahahaha

Thanks Chris...thats right, it was limited by traction. They got the best results by skipping second gear, so with those two inch wider rears, it would probably hook up much better. Sorry for not clarifying, I meant one of the quickest they had tested.

Right...why rednecks are stupid and dont know anything about cars

I would take a Z06 over a Supra

I also know a BPU Supra will beat a Z06 ($1500) in a roll
I also know Toyota stock is valued greater than Ford GM and Daimler Benz combined

What else do I know
The C4 is a piece of junk...for rednecks
Its louder slower and cant perform worth a rats @ss at the track.

YOU OWE THE SUPRA FOR THE C5 BEING A NICE CAR

yeah imports are stupid thats why the C6 looks like one

I guess MT's article at Texas Motorspeedway where the Supra beat every car Ferrari 355 Viper NSX Corvette etc...were biased
Or that the Supra was the first car to offer comfort...drag/roadcourse/track performance in one

When the Supra was out no car could beat it at the track...and few in a roadcourse

The competing Corvette was SLOWER...ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC in any real race

Do some research then act like you know what your talking about...then again a redneck cant read

THE SUPRA SET THE BENCHMARK FOR A $50k car
with no tradeoff between comfort and handling

Try reading something before you act like you know what your talking about
