if this is the way you all feel about me, i will gladly step down and offer the position to any of you who are willing.

you think it's so easy, but you're all wrong.

you think it's just pressing buttons and things, but again you're wrong. i do this for free. i take precious time out of my day to make sure this forum is pleasurable for YOUR viewing. i don't make any decisions based on my personal feelings, i do it for you guys. for the community. for AF. and i do it for free, and miss out on other things i could be doing just to moderate this forum.

and what do i get?

i get this thread. i get everyone in this thread saying i've done a bad job and that they're leaving and would like to have a new moderator.

so fuck it. i'm not going to bother anymore. you don't like me, fine. i put my heart and soul into this job for free, and i get nothing in return, and now you want me out, so why should i fight. i challenge you to find someone else willing to do it. but don't come to me with your suggestions. go to Igor, the guy who runs this site.

i proved to him that i could be a good moderator, so since he "hired" me, he must've thought pretty highly of my abilities.

but whatever. i've tried to make this forum better then what it was, and instead of thanking me (too much to ask, apparently), you all just turn around and shit on my face.

As Brian said, he spends his time struggling to help out on this forum, trying to right the wrongs and be fair at the same time, and you shit all over him. Derek - grow the fuck up. You always act as if you own this forum, but you're just another member like everyone else. You flame people to pieces, then expect them to get banned when they return fire. Read the AF Guidelines lately? NO FLAMING WHATSOEVER. Brian got so frustrated with this place, the stupid questions, the general retardedness of everything (which, I might add, the rest of AF knows about. To everyone else, a large part of this forum is a joke). Brian tried to help, I know that he is fair, but now he gets called a Nazi mod. Pull your heads in everyone, people want to come here to learn things, if someone asks a dumb question, answer them politely, they might not be as dumb as you think. Wait, sorry, I forget, it's the 240SX way to flame newbies, no matter what. Brian tried, no one thanks him. Everyone just rallies behind Derek. Derek, he's your friend in real life, if you have an issue with him, take it up with him, IN REAL LIFE. Don't drag any issues you have with him onto this message board, it just creates problems. If you have a real problem with how this forum is run then you can take it up personaly with Igor, myself or any of the other mods via email and PM, but there is no need to bring your appreant immaturity and lack of respect for someone who does a great job into an open forum.

Brian does a great job here, spending his own time for no gain to keep this forum full of information and free of crap. You don't see most of what he does because he's so good at it, but he is an excellent mod, and worth far more respect than he gets.



Now if anyone wants to bitch and moan take it to PM or email, any more threads like this one will be closed and removed, and members who insist on acting like children will follow them.

In your post you tell new members that this forum is 'gay'.Well, this forum,despite the best efforts of Brian, reflects the level of intelligence that some of the regular members put into it.For some reason drifting,and 240's in particular seems to attract a large number of rebellious and immature little boys who have never purchased their own enthusiast vehicle and probably never will.

Your comment in your sig about only being here for your own entertainment,not to make friends sums you up just nicely,and I find it amusing that you retain the user title of 'AF fanatic' even though you have just bagged every one of us with your little tantrum.

If you are not man enough to use this board like a car enthusiast,don't try and use it as a kindergarten.If you don't like the user guidelines for this site,please leave,because people who aren't interested in fitting in as a part of the AF community are not welcome here.

It's interesting to note that some of the little sheep who were first to add their names to dorikins childish whining are already well known to the whole mod team as troublemakers.Be advised that AF is not a playground for loud and boring little wannabees,it's an enthusiast site and will stay that way.


The moderating team stands 100% behind Brian as our choice to be the main moderator for this board.Dorikin has been put forward before as a potential mod,but was considered to be too short-tempered for the post.I guess this thread backs up that argument.


Any further flaming of Brian,any other mod,or any other member will be dealt with decisively.Since this thread has nothing to do with the cars in this forum,it is now closed.If anyone doesn't care for my opinions,or the user guidelines,feel free to either piss off or discuss them with me on the private message system.The next person to start a thread specifically for the purpose of flaming another member will be banned.

I for one will never tolerate that sort of abuse towards any moderator. You guys make these forums into either good or bad, not the moderator. We are merely here to sort through the shit and keep it civil.

while it's bad policy to post on closed threads, i have something to say.

i had a weak moment last night.

i am NOT quitting as 240SX moderator.

all of you whiney little children who want a new moderator and don't think i'm doing a good job: piss off. go find another forum and quit bitching. i do this job for free, and while i can admit i've been a bit lazy in the last week because of a busy life outside of AF, i am now going to be around alot more often. i think i've done a good job so far, and so do many others. most of you who are open to criticizing me have only been around for a few months, so you have no right to talk about how i do my job. i was hired for the job because Igor and the other mods thought i was the proper candidate, so i must be doing something right that i'm still the mod and haven't been replaced yet.

Naki was right when he said it was the members that make a forum. i'm just here to clean up the shit. if you think this forum is going downhill, it's not because of me. it's because of you and/or all the other members who turn this place into a shit-pile, not me.

so here it is: i'm not going anywhere. if you don't like me, tough shit. go somewhere else if that's the case, or if you want to stay here, then stop bitching. i am done taking shit and done being so leinient when things go wrong. the "soft" S13_Iketani is gone for good. i will moderate to keep this forum clean, and will still be open to suggestions and stuff, but if you fuck with me, prepare to face the consequences.

i don't want to sound like an asshole when i say that, but honestly, when a thread like this happens, what other choice do i have?
