Automatic Door Locks

My 1993 Lumina automatically locks the doors when the car is put into gear. I don't have the owners manual, is there any way I can change them to unlock when put into gear or when the car it shut off?

There should be a fuse something labeled Door unlock. Check to see if there is a fuse in place and it is still good. This should unlock the doors when the ignition is turned off.
