OK, finished with body. still needs some work on the rear lights, but overall complete, I am going to make the left rear window rolled down, so its off for now.

Panel lines, euro style sidemarkers, California plate, front grill replaces by silver metal mesh. removed chrom window trim in favor of a new modern black rubber trim:










Look.. shiny:

86 SR5 - the paitn is light gunmetal, Tamiya spray.

I am going to finish fitting the body over the shasis and begin mounting the wheels.

there is also Kunta's way of mixing it by using tamiya silver leaf and black mixture... come sout nice, check out hi G35 coupe kit.

SLK, how are you going to mount the front wheels? The aftermarket wheels for my kit are too wide, so the front will not be lowered unless I go with skinny tires.
BTW great progress, I love the front grill.

Excellent progress! The paint finish looks wonderful and the body colour grille is a neat touch.
On the tail lights, you can make them look nearer to the real thing by doing the inner crome details with very narrow strips of BMF. I see you've painted them differently to stock 510's. That red/white/red is like some Japanese market GL sedans and Mexican built sedans...
