rear window defroster

My daughter has a "96 2dr cpe w/o the rear defroster and was wondering if there's some type of kit available to install.I know I need to ck if there is any pre wiring that leads to back windows if I go that route. I also wander why a car that new would be built w/o one to begin with,but that's another subject!!!
I can buy a used window from Damron's for $75 and have it installed for $65. Didn't think about windowdefroster when she bought it in May living in Fla,but we do get cold and frost here in Winter.Would appreciate 2nd opinions and advise. :o)

um they dont' make akit to defrost your windows that i know of yet but if you could find wires for it in the back find a used 96 cavy that had the defrosters and you could install it that way or you could have it instaled and they could do all the wiring for you hope this is help ful

Howdy wanacavy,
Thx 4 responding to my call 4 help regarding my daughters car.She was at the house visiting yesterday so I ck'd the back window moldings.Of course there were NO wires to be found as I ck'd both sides just to be sure.I think it's a crock that some smart engineer said,"let's build these puppies with AND w/o rear defrost". Like to see them drive a car w/o it and see how they like it!!!
Guess only thing to do now is get an estimate from my local auto glass dealer and get a price for the wiring the thing. I could always tell my dau to get a blow dryer that plugs into the cigarette lighter and defrost it that way,but don't think so.
