so there she is guys. for $1000, i think i got a pretty damn good deal.

only problem so far happened pretty quick. on the way home from buying her, my clutch gave out on me and the car wouldn't move. i had to spend $75 extra to tow it home. turns out it's not the clutch that gave out, nor the clutch cylinder (both are brand new) but we're suspecting that the lines might be leaking fluid. this issue will be addressed on Sunday.

there also seems to be a slight fuel leak from the tank. this issue will also be fixed ASAP.

also on the agenda for the X-Mas break are:

-buy new driver's side window motor and install
-spray paint tear-drop wheels flat black.
-strip everything behind front seats. check for rust spots, and spray entire floor with rubberized paint.
-find a head-unit of some sort and install.
-buy new fuse so that the left headlight will go down (it goes up, but not down)
-installation of sleepy-eye switch

already done:
-removal of y-pipe
-cutting of air-box

i'll keep you guys updated!

I love how your car looks brian...all these recent S13 buys for cheap has made me reconsider them...now I'm looking for either because I want a 240sx so bad (my usdm drift squad will hate me for it though ; refer to banner )

yeah, that van is our parts hauler/tow vehicle. coming down my driveway, my friend Marc got his 240 stuck in the ice, so i had to get out the tow-rope and use Big Red to pull him out of it. it's handy for hauling big loads of tires and shite too. it's almost dead though. it's only a '98 and already has 252,000km on it, and my dad said we'll probably sell it in a couple of weeks.

anyways, i am much enjoying the car. if only it moved, i would be enjoying it alot more.

btw, what bumper is it that you have tied to the J-bodies in your sig?

it's a weird color, actually. in the hazy day-light (it's over-cast here) it looks dark blue. but in direct light (like from a flash-light or headlights from another car), it looks purple with metal flecks in it. and in some lights, it does look black as well. i like it, but the clear-coat is peeling a bit on the hood so i don't think it'll last too much longer.

the stickers are Signal (from the exhibition they put on here in September), Driftstar.com (drifting website run by my friend Jover, the sticker says "I LOVE DRIFTING! Driftstar.com. A Radical Conjunction of drift eccentrics". then i have a 10-inch long Signal window banner that Chunky Bai gave me (the little turbine-monster-symbol thingy is shiny silver), and on each quarter window (the ones that say 240SX), i have a DriftNation sticker. DriftNation is the local drifting group that sets up "Drift Days" and "Drift Classes" for the Toronto area, sort of like the Drift Association LLC in Cali.

it's a rare ford escort zx2 bumper I believe. I found it...er stole it from a parts importer.

...Or I just found it on the side of the road. Looks almost like it fits the older cavalier right? My car it looks really out of place on...but you can't make it look much worse. The bumper actually fits on the white one pretty well...the mounts slide in between the headlight and bumper gap. Looks pretty factory huh? If only I could fabricate a wide body kit it would look great lol...the bumper is a bit too wide....stupid fords...
