Another Starting Problem

Hi, new to the site, so I dont know if I am even doing this right or not, but hey it's worth a try. I have gone through all the threads and see people having almost the same problems I am having, but not exactly. I have a 1990 Honda Accord DX and I love the thing to death. But tonight it really is on my bad side. Drove fine today, but went to go start it, everything is turning over, getting gas, and getting fire(the fire is kinda dull though). Could I be having the same problem as others or is it something else. Please help anyone, if you can. I would greatly appreciate it.

Fire? I sincerely hope that you are not seeing/hearing fire when starting your car. So after you turn the key, you hearthe engine trying, but what...?

No, not fire like that I think I dont know, had my dad under the hood, said their was spark but very little spark. When I turn the key, hear the starter turn and all that, that is why we are so dumbfounded LOL, he's a mechanic but mostly sticks with easy stuff to work on. Dont know if it is the computer or something like the distributor(I think that is spelled right) dunno!!??
