KA24DE N2O Tuning
Kind of new to the N2O scene. First off I have a 95 240sx SE. I am getting a turbo kit, but I want N2O on it now to hold me over till then. I would like to run a safe amount. (I read in anothe post that there are a bunch of guys running a 75 shot) Is this a good safe level. Also I was told I would need to retard the timing. For a 75 shot on a stock KA24DE how much timing do I need to take out. What all do I need to do to make this as safe as possible.

I ran N20 on my car for about a month or so. I was using the NX stage 1 EFI kit. If your motor is in good shape, then you can safely run a 75 shot. That's what I ran. If you're not very confident in your motor then just run a 50 shot and call it a day. Oh yeah, when you get a nitrous kit, make sure your buying a wet kit so that it delivers fuel and nitrous at the same time. The dry kits suck ass. I didn't retard my timing at all, but some people will retard it only about 1-2 degrees.
You can definately feel the extra power from a nitrous kit. I took it to the track once when running the 75 shot and ran a 14.6 @ 92 mph. This was all stock except the nitrous. Pretty damn good improvement over stock. I ended up selling my kit because I realized that nitrous just wasn't my style. Plus I needed more cash for a turbo setup.

Re: KA24DE N2O Tuning
anywhere from 50 to 75 is fine.
Wet kit is prefer but dry kit is not bad.. but personally I will not go more than 75 shot dry if u don't have better fuel pump and a adj. fuel regulartor to pump up the fuel pressure just a tag. But its all about tuning. with 50shot wet or dry, you really don't have to mess with anything. for 75shot I would back the timing off maybe 1 to 2 deg... (probably 18BTDC at idle).. and 1 step colder plug in the safe side(#6 plug to be exact). I installed a few kits for my friends, IMO if u not asking much, i think the Zex kit is the best suit for u. Its a dry setup, but no solenoid or much wire needs to do. And its safe. compare to other kits that I installed, I like this one the most.. Clean, easy and effective. Just a vaccum hose after throttle body, N2o line inlet, outlet to nozzle, and TPS wire signal. which probably is the white one in most KAs throttle body. anyhow, hope this help

the guys at holley say as long as you stay under a 20 shot per cylinder you're alright.
