Would this be worth it/work/does anyone have one?

I decided to rebuild my D16 since I have a complete turbo kit for one. So I found this: You are looking at a perfectly good, usedD16Z6 block. IT is in great condition and was completely unhurt when the engine gave out. It has just over 100k on it and would be perfect for that “winter time project”. I spun a bearing in the car and pulled the engine. Now I’m parting all the good parts out to make some money for a swap. I can get it for $45. Will my D16A6 Head and SI tranny bolt up to it with no problems? I figured I would get it and rebuild it and put my head and tranny on with the turbo. Unless somone has a D16A6 or other D16 block laying around they want to get rid of?

YES all d-series blocks, heads, and transmissions are interchangeable!

I know all D series stuff if interchangable. But the Z6 is v-tec correct? So will my A6 head bolt right up with no problems?

okay i understand now. You arent going to get that much of a power gain with a 1d6z6 block, because you already have a a 1.6l block, but i guess if you want too, i dunno whatever you want to do. But your d16a6 will do fine for a turbo build up!

No I'm not looking for a power gain. See I have a turbo setup ready to go on. But my motor has 193K on it. So I am going to rebuild my motor before I put it on. Then I thought about it and decided to get another D series block to rebuild then rebuild my head and put it on. That way I have no down time since this is my only transportation.
