I use a Fuji Finepix 4900Zoom! 4.3 Megapixel and all the features like close up, auto countdown shutter and decent flash. Photos set to 1280dpi

Here's the camera I just bought...the review is here.

It's kind of an older camers, as far as digital camera go. However it's still holds its own and takes pretty good pics. The price has come down recently and you should be able to find one for a good price. I bought mine new for under $600CDN.

This is the camera Steve and I have just bought, it was not too expensive and has good pictures, look on Seat Cordoba Post. It is very easy to use.

Casio QV 2900SX---what I'm using
1cm marco(!) with a little bit "fish eye" feature made your model looks huge, real and full detail.
8x zoom is something else good when you need it.
Highly recommended for a "modeling cam"
Anyway, knowing of photoshop is another advantage.

Camera's, like most things in life, and down to what you are comfortable with!
I used my boses camera for a while, and couldn't get on with it's flatness, I needed something more like an SLR, as I found what I saw through the view finder is not what the pic came out like!

So I knew the shape of the camera I wanted! I was surprised I got as much as I did in mine for what I paid, and I think they are down to £550 now.

The 4.3 megapixel is more than you would ever need for model photography. For web prep you need to get the files down to uner 100kb anyway!
Though I found taking the pics with a higher resolution and then downsizing them helps with a crisp look!
It uses Smartmedia cards, and I have a 16MB and a 32MB for storage. I would get about 100 pics on the 32MB!

It goes up to F11 for the aperture and it has full manual adjustment of all features.
Only the flash leaving a shadow over the long lense is my complaint!

The pics are on here to see under my thread.

Like Lau says, if you know photoshop, you can get great results from even the simplest digi cams!
