Question New to old engine swap

Would the a newer z32 90-96 engine exculding the TT fit in an older 88 model z 31? Or i could drop a 350 in there, the newer all all slick and curved, but they got power, i'd like to keep the old body and beathe some more life into the heart of the beast.

Later model DOHC engine requires add'l Changes

The 90+ DOHC engine using a different wiring harness and a different ECU due to the cam sensor and crank angle sensor. The 84-'89 engines whether turbo or non-turbo are pretty much interchangeable. For the specific details, Go to WWW.Hybridz.org or Z31.com or 300ZXclub.com, or zdriver.com

how difficult would it be to swap a RB26DETT in a 300zx? would it be relativly the same difficulty with the 240sx?
