How bad of an idea was this?

I bought a complete engine wiring harness out of a 94 Civic EX.

Think this will make my hooking up the D15B any easier?

If you have the cabin harness too it might help, otherwise im guessing it will be a pita to splice it to your dash harness.

..possibly, b/c you'll have some of the updated plugs that go onto the obd1 engines..

That's what I was hoping... instead of having to cut and rewire so much stuff... was thinking maybe 'most' of the engine harness will plug up to the D15B and ECU, and I can just make corrections where needed (such as dash and interior harness) which doesn't nearly bother me as much as trying to get the ECU and everything hooked up and wired up correctly.

the only thing the harness is good for is using the plugs to splice onto your current wiring harness. you cant use that engine harness as the main plugs are different...unless you'd rather splice every single wire to use the obd1 engine harness instead of just a couple plugs...

well, I'm hoping to get my hands on every wire and plug between the front of the engine and the ECU.
So I'm not going to be able to just take out all of the 91's wiring harness and replace it with the 94 wiring harness?

no. like i said the main connectors are different, so unless you feel like splicing every single wire from one king of main plug to the newer style, you'd be better off replacing the couple of engine plugs that are different.

Ok, I see what you're saying.
It's just going to be a bitch wiring either way I go.
