I have a 97 GSR with intake, headers, exhaust, pulleys, spark plugs/wires, wheels, shocks, springs. I am debating what to do next, but i do know i want more performance. What do you suggest to get, i only have $2,000 right now, and i know i cant get turbo for that. Please list mods you suggest. Thanks.

you can piece together your own turbo kit for less than $2000 easily. or you can get some nitrous, or... supercharger, but supercharger has some bad reps on this forum

Re: what performance mods to get under $2k?
i'd save up another $500-$1000 for a nice turbo.

j/k, if ur tight on cash and want turbo, then don't turbo. save and do it right or ur gonna end up spending a lot more money on a new motor etc...

if your intersted i know a guy whose selling a brand new stage 2 rev hard turbo kit for about 2800 and that includes shipping. this is what im saving for, but it's really hard when i also have to pay for college. oh and about worrying about your motor u can alway lower the boost until u everything set up for higher boost to get extraordinary hp gains. or just buy the t/c and build the rest of your motor then install the kit. the main thing is to get the t/c in the first place, after that objective is complete, everything else shouldn't be too difficult.

Do that, upgrade the fuel system, dyno tune, & upgrade your rear sway bar. Head work is a great mod. |
