Question So, I crashed my mom's car, and need to buy a new one...

unfortunately, I crashed my mom's car like last week

half of the stuff inside the hood have to be replaced, so we plan to sell it after fixin' it (coz fixed cars are not as good in performance and safety-wise afterall)

and so we are plannin' to buy a new car, but coz we are not very rich or anythin', we can't just go fo' a Benz or a BMW

any suggestions around the 20,000$CDN mark (about 16-17,000 in US)? a 4-dr sedan, sporty if you can plz

I know there ain't many options wit that kinda budget, that's why I am askin' fo' help

my mom is thinkin' the Matrix, she likes it, and I think it's not bad too

so can you help? thanks!

Re: So, I crashed my mom's car, and need to buy a new one...

what year era are u lookin @ like brand new or like older, like u could probibly find a jag for under 20 000 CAD, i don remember if they make ne 4 dr models, i don't thikn so but they might, if u look @ the mid 90's cars u could probibly get a bmw or a benz their not too much for that age due to depreciation i don no accual prices, i may be way off base here too but i think u should be able to get something from that era for quite cheep, if you are going newer, go for a mini, if you can find a mini cooper, like a 2002 or a 2001, if they made a 2001 i also don remember, they wouldn't be too much cuz their used, and they frickin go! my friend's mom owns a 2002 cooper S and it throws u back in the seat @ half gas shiftin @ 3000, the car is designed to be shifted in everyday driving @ 4500, long gears, nice cars, they accually do have alot of room, no trunkspace though let me know ur thoughts

new? here are some suggestions. but anything in particular? civic/accord...sentra/altima...lancer/galant...corolla/camry. you can probably get base models for these ones for more or less the price range you mentioned. am more familiar with these makes. am not too sure bout the prices of american cars yet. what about the rsx? if am not mistaken...the ford focus/dodge neon is around that price range too...am not too sure though.

yeah man a mini, thei are good reliable cars, with ALOT of room in them yes you do comprimist with trunk space for the extra interior room, but other than that they are GREAT cars, lots of power for that letf turn or w/e and u know that u are going to be taking it out to have some fun for yourself, and if you burn out one or both of your front tires and need to buy new ones, good news, i think their 13 inch tires they cost about 30$ canadian to replace! their good cars and resonable pricesd i am sure ytou would be able to find one in your price range

I wouldn't mind getting an RSX, what did you crash anyway?

But, if you are looking a brand new car, with about 16000...There aren't much choice for "family" sedan
Could only be a college sedan...
How about SUVs?
But remember, there are a lot of disadvantage to buy a used car...because the financing will charge a higher interest.
