Question Change Oil Light

Does anyone know how to get my change oil light to come back on in my 2001 Grand Am? The bulb isn't burned out, since it lights when I start the car, but it won't come on at the 3K mile mark anymore.

I had the oil change several months ago and the guy at the garage said he had a way to reset it that was easier than taking the cover off the fuse box (not that it was that hard to do that)... anyhow, it was something like turning the car on, but not starting the engine, and pumping the gas pedal three times really fast. It did make the light go out, but it hasn't come back on since.

Any suggestions?
