Headlights not working.

94 Grand Am. Headlights don't work when I turn them on, but brights work. I can pull the signal lever back to make brights work but can't make them (brights) stay on. Not sure if signal lights/head lights/hazard lever is bad. Lever is expense and would like to know how to test connections before I go out and buy one.

I figured mine out it was just both low beams going out at the same time.
