Watch Mclaren Race Thursday Dec. 4th

On december 4th, thrusday the JGTC (which might stand for japanese grand touring cars) is on speed channel at 7pm eastern standard time. The mclaren that is being raced is a yellow gtr, 19r to be specific. Any way i cant wait till tomorrow to watch. here is the website they even had a video of the action showing bits of the mclaren http://www.jgtc.net/index_en.htm

Although it says on the JGTC website that the car is 19R, it isn't. 19R is an ex LARK car, recently seen at Daytona. The car in the JGTC is somewhat of a mystery, although most people believe it to have been built up from the spare chassis.

Yes, the McLaren hasn't been competitive in JGTC for a few years now. The teams who have raced them are small and don't get any factory support at this point. Compared to the awesome budgets which are provided to the other teams from Nissan, Honda, and Toyota they just can't keep up. Also, the rules favor the turbo cars over the normally aspirated ones. It's all about making the Japanese manufacturers look good in front of the home crowds. Don't allow it to reflect poorly on your impression of the McLaren F1.

not #19R
19R has LARK paint livery and will always be this way.

Regards, JGTC, the Yellow Corn team has not the money to run the car like it should be.
The Mclaren might suffer from a large restrictor as well
It does not look good if a private team goes too strong on the factory teams. Same story, things will never change

Bakasan- I know it might be a bit of a stretch, but can you try to find out through whatever relationship you have with the current owner of #19R what the real story is on the mystery Hitotsuyama Racing Yellow Corn GTR. It's one of the great McLaren mysteries, and I would really like to be able to clear it up. Whatever you can add to the story would be greatly appreciated.
