Question kuhmo ecsta VS yokahama A520's

what would yall pick of the yokahoma A520s or the kuhmo ecsta, i need some new tires and these are my options , or maybe yall have a better idea....they are gonna be 205/35-45/17...thanks..im leaning towards the yokahamas...im goin for street tires that can take some action and have some grip on corners etc....

The A520s will grip much better, but they get loud as they wear down and wear down quicker than the 712s. The 712s are cheaper, and little less grip than the A520s but not by much.

I've got a set of the A520's. At first they grip really well, but after a while they seem to not grip to well. Also they wear faster than any tire I've ever had by far. And they suck in the rain, but most performance tires do. I've never had the Kumho's so I cant realy compare them to the A520's, but I can tell you I'd never buy them again.

Re: kuhmo ecsta VS yokahama A520's

I run the kuhmo ecsta 235 40 R18 on a WRX STI current model and i must admit i am very impressed especially in the wet. They feel solid on the road, not much road noise and good wearing tyres. I have done 12,500 and have given them a bashing, in the dry putting them to the test, they hold. I would go with the Kuhmo ectsta, the 520s i dont rekon grip that much better and are considerably louder and forget it in the wet. Save your bucks buy the kuhmos.

How the heck did you bring this thread back after 1.5 years? Did you search through all that?
