hello.
i am also thinking to buy a 86 300z turbo auto as my first car. my neighbor best freind want to sell his 300z with 180000 miles to me for real cheap price. i consider myself preety good at maitaining car, i help my dad do tune up (fuel filter, belt , plugs, etc) to his 96 nissan maxima. if i bought the car i will keep it for at least 5-10 years. my question are what is the spec of 86 300z turbo, is the car easy to maintain, easy on gasoline, etc. any positive input is appriciated Thanks in advance, Ryan.

Hey Ryan, I would only recommend buying that '86 turbo if it has been rebuilt recently. Otherwise you're looking at a rebuild you must do very SOON. The car is easy to maintain but the lack of space to work around the engine isn't so good. It's about average on gas.
To get a look at upgrades and the gains you will get from them http://z31.com/nfaq/faqview.php?ParentID=7#33 |

Re: need some info on the 1986 300Z plz
my 86 300zx turbo is running 250 hp @ 5400. and i run 14 flat in the 1/4. not too many mods, just the fipk kit (good for 30 h/p) 240sx intake, 3 in. exhaust, and a msd ignition.
