Need some help with brand of hood

What do you guys think is the best brand or material type of Ramair hood I should get for my T/A. Im trying to get a functional ram air going. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it if you could help me out. I have a 99' bright red T/A 6 speed. Oh and also how do you post pix on here. I see it says you cant post attachments but yet, I see many on here.

Re: Need some help with brand of hood

I would take it you have the non WS-6 car. I have a 2001 Trans Am LS-1. It is not a WS-6 car but I bought a cold air induction from SLP. With the SLP air box lid and K&N filter it gets more and colder air than the stock WS-6 does. SLP also has this combo as a kit at a better price than individual piece price. The WS-6 hoods look good but when you figure hood price plus a good paint matchup you are looking at about $1600. Hood cost about $600 but a good paint match will cost a grand. You can get it painted for $400 but you get what you pay for.

http://www.americansportscar.com/products/firebird.htm They have really good stuff there. Check out the customer feedback. Most everyone that buys a hood or body part there really likes it. I think I will buy mine from there when I get the engine put in. Good Luck.

http://www.americansportscar.com/products/firebird.htm That should give you a good idea of what to get. Their customer feedback is really good. Check them out. They don't seem that expensive either.

you'd rather pay $795 for a hood vs $485? ASCD has much better prices. that doesn't seem to make much sense to me...but whatever floats your boat.
