APEX motorsports ripped me off, stay away

Stay away from Apex motorsports in Santa Clara, CA.
They ripped me off big time. i spent close to $25K on motor work there (on my Viper), and my motor started losing HP (close to 250hp) 1,500 miles later.
After tearing the motor apart to find out what was wrong, my local viper tuner (Heffner’s performance in MD) found large amounts of Extrude Hone material and metal shavings in my motor. this was due to Apex not cleaning the intake manifold after they got it extrude honed. :fuss: this caused scratches all inside the motor and ate away the rings. i am going to have to rebuild the motor with new pistons, machine the crank and block and so on.... mind you this was a brand new motor.
Apex also keyed the crank in too deep, which will not only cause an oil leak, but also premature and or excessive wear on the crank seal, this is also a brand new $4K crank that i paid for. Bill Kaiser (the owner) at Apex is refusing to pay for either the motor fix or the crank replacement. He also kept many of my stock parts and would not return them.

I have asked Bill at Apex to at least pay for half the damage to the motor and crank, and i would forget about the other half of the cost and the missing parts, yet he is refusing to pay for anything. He also stopped working on vipers in all, i can only wonder why. :uzi:
just wanted all you guys to know. i don’t want anyone else to fall victim to Bill at Apex. i heard he was working on a lot of mustangs and just thought u guys should know

thanks for the heads up. that is a terrible thing to have happened; but the worst part is the lack of the proprietor's living as a decent human being. as a santa clara resident you have my condolences.

My condolences too... i just want to add one cool little fact. Your motor lost more horsepower than mine has all together.

Call the Better Business Bureau. Try to take pictures of the damaged materials. Carefully read the paperwork receipt that Apex gave you. You may want to consult an attorney and provide him/her with your pictures and paperwork.

I was just at apex getting suspension done on my 94 vert about 3 weeks ago and they have not stopped working on Vipers. I saw one in their garage as I was picking up my ride.
