The alarm system on my truck seems to be possessed can anyone help? When it gets cold outside at night, the truck refuses to unlock in the mornings. The alarm actually locked me out of the truck for over 4 hours the other day. Without removing the alarm, is there anyway to bypass the alarm system, so that i can just use the key entry? I would only actually like to use the alarm in large social areas IE: mall parking lots, etc. Other than that i would be happy with just using a key entry. I have been told that there is a way to control this?? Or heck, if it keeps me from getting locked out i will be happy to just bypass the whole thing. The Ford dealer wants $145.00 to even look at it, and my only other option is to ask the ex husband, oh heck no!!!! ANY help that anyone can offer would be much appreciated.

It has a Ford emblem on the front, a lock button , to the right of it an unlock button, and underneath it a red panic button. The back has battery replacement number 12V GP23A

I changed the batteries. Every winter the truck seems to have this problem. The guy i talked too on the phone said that there is a sensor/module that might be the problem. Just looking to get rid of the whole thing, but the guy wouldnt give me a program code to just disarm it. Would rather just use a key instead of being late to work every morning, LOL!! |
