I dont think the knock sensor has anything to do with that noise you just described. Anyways its located behind the block. You'll see it, its green.

Re: Re: Re: vtec question and locating of knock sensor?

Ok i know this sounds weird but if its throwin code 21 and especially code 22 you're v-tec wouldn't work. I have a code 22 right now but tahtys because my ecu pin is loose. Easily fixed. Sometimes it could be bad v-tec solenoid. Not quite sure about 21 and 23 though.

Hey if you haven't yet got what the meaning for them code yet. Well here it is. Man you sure have lots of sensor going wrong there. Its probably because if you bought a motor from somewhere. Most of your sensor probably got messed up or something, because all that code you mention are all sensor. Well anyways here are the code meaning. Good luck.

Code # 14---- IAC VALVE (IDLE AIR CONTROL) IT EIGTHER HAVE A DEFECTIVE CIRCUIT OR ITS UNPLUGGED, JUST CHECK ALL YOUR SENSOR MAKE SURE THEY'RE PLUGGED, IF THEY'RE ALL PLUGGED, THAN THAT MEANS THAT YOU WILL NEED A NEW ONES. DEFECTIVE SENSOR.

Code # 21---- VTEC SOLENOID VALVE CHECK, AGAIN CHECK TO SEE IF ITS PLUGGED, IF ITS PLUGGED THAN ITS DEFECTIVE SOLENOID VALVE.

Code # 22---- VTEC OIL PRESSURE SWITCH DEFECTIVE CIRCUIT OR UNPLUGGED. DEFECTIVE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH.

Code # 23---- KS (KNOCK SENSOR) DEFECTIVE CIRCUIT OR UNPLUGGED. DEFECTIVE SENSOR. WELL GOOD LUCK.

ANYONE ELSE NEED THERE CODE LET ME KNOW, I KNOW ALL OF THEM. JUST DROP ME AN EMAIL. AT [email protected] THE NAME IS TINO.
