Put your bumper supports back on man, sure they are heavy, but they are there for a reason, they take A Lot of the damage if you get in a wreck, trust me, I ran my car into a concrete wall at 30 mph and the bumper support saved my frame from severe damage, frame was only out by 7mm, 3mm is the max frame techs allow when they fix a car, so it save the frame.
Second, if he does it right, he wouldn't get anymore fumes than he already gets without an interior. I don't have a rear interior in my car...other than just back seat, and I still get some fumes when i refuel, but its nothing major.

So you have a fuel cell in your spare tire well, or you somehow have to fill your fuel tank from the inside of the car?
