Glow Gauges

I was wondering where everyone plugged their wires into for the glow gauges, I have it plugged into the radio fuse right now, but I want it to turn on when i use my head lights .I think the day time lights are screwing me over.

Any ideas?

Re: Glow Gauges

I installed a set of glow gages on my old 1994 cav and it was quite simple to install. I simply removed the dimmer switch and used a tester light to test the wires that ran to the switch to see what was powered up when i turned on my parking lights. Dubble check that you don't install it on the dimmer side of the switch or you lights won't work properly when you try and dim the rest of the dash lights. After you located the correct wire it's as simple as using a piggy back connector and some electrical tape.

Thanks, I'll try this. Do you know how many wires you had to choose from?

Re: Glow Gauges

If my memory serves me correctly, there were three.

Re: Glow Gauges

one ground one hot leading in and one hot leading out from the switch. to the gages you want to hook it up to the wire before it goes threw the dimmer.
