Well, it's most definitely an F1 hiding in there. Great find!

I'll see what I can learn with a few emails. I'm amazed someone would see a McLaren F1 and only take one photo of it. It's also surprising to see that CLK-GTR Cab there. Someone has some money as those were only manufactured in a single digit quantity.

Re: Hidden F1??

The CLK-GTR is awesome, and not cheap. There is one for sale in FLorida i believe for $1,875,000.

There aren't a lot of dark colored F1s with light colored interiors that I'm familiar with. That's what I find to be strange. The two that immediately come to mind are XP4 and #007 and I'm almost certain it would be neither of those cars.

Ellison's F1 is supposedly black and I've heard that it is kept in a warehouse, but I don't know if his interior is light in color, or if that is his car. I would imagine Ellison's warehouse would be a little nicer than that one though.

I wonder if that photo could be taken in Japan since the other cars in that photo are clearly Japanese, with one even wearing a JP plate.

Re: Hidden F1??

From the license plate in the first picture, I suspect it's in Japan. There also appears to be a Mercedes Pullman limo ahead of the BMW Z8 in the same pic, which is rare in the US.

But the last pic of the CLK-GTR shows a corner of a Ford van up on a hoist--the van would be an oddity in Japan.

Nice high-end facility, wherever it is!

Could this be the F1 that Bill Gates (supposedly owns), I only
say so because he also owns a Porsche 959(actualy 4) that
he just got imported into the States I now he lives in Washington
State but he could have a garage in another state.

Do we know for sure it is a private garage.

It would help if we knew where all the CLK GTR Roadsters are,
but I would imagine that would be as hard as finding out where
all the F1 LMs are.

Re: Hidden F1??

there also appears to be a smart car and an old beetle in this pic, which leads me to belive this is not in the US.

Well there's no guarantee that all these photos come from the same location - that's the other problem. I don't see any of the cars which are in the McLaren photo in the background of any of the other shots, and vice versa. I think this single photo may have just been tossed into the bunch.

Also, I know that several Skylines have been imported to the US, but I don't think many would arrive with their JP plate still affixed to the front of the car. One of the other cars in the background of the McLaren photo looks to be a Mercedes Benz A-Class - another car that wouldn't be found here in the US.

This may be one of those F1s which is supposedly rotting away in Japan. That's going to be my guess for now until I find out otherwise.

Get this...
I talked to somebody from the shop that has the site.

jvvaulter: hello??
RB Motoring: yes?
jvvaulter: there is a picture in your gallery that i am very curious about
RB Motoring: yes.
RB Motoring: the MB car.
RB Motoring: that car is at our emissions lab that we use for FTP testing for Skylines.
jvvaulter: the mclaren?
jvvaulter: or the CLK-GTR?
RB Motoring: both cars are there.
jvvaulter: HOLY SH**
jvvaulter: sorry thats alot of $$$$
RB Motoring: yeah it is.
jvvaulter: so both cars are owned by RBmotoring?
RB Motoring: no.
RB Motoring: they are at the lab that we bring our cars to.
jvvaulter: ok
RB Motoring: the lab doesn't belong to us.
RB Motoring: we just call it "ours" because we go there.
RB Motoring: just like if you were to say "your dyno shop"
RB Motoring: "your tuner"
jvvaulter: do you know what the chassis # on the McLaren is or who owns it?
jvvaulter: i get it
RB Motoring: no, I don't know that information.
jvvaulter: can you tell me the shops name?
RB Motoring: no
RB Motoring: it's not open to the public.
RB Motoring: it's an EPA lab for California Emissions Testing purposes only.
jvvaulter: ok

So there in cali. Notice in all the pics how there is the paint around the walls? Has to be the same place.
