What is up with all this Christmas stuff out so early in the year?

I always used to think that the time to get into the christmas spirit was after the American Thanksgiving.The season would specifically start at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, when The Santa Claus float comes around, and the guy who's in the suit says "Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!"....... but it's like even before last month's Halloween, they were putting up decorations in the stores and totally overlooking the US Thanksgiving holiday. I was going to a car show at the Bayside Expo Center last week, and when I got onto the T, I saw at least 6 people with bags that had christmas paper, bows, ribbons etc. It's like next thing you know, you'll see christmas stuff before Labor Day........it's already starting to be that way with the Time Life christmas cd's and cassettes......

I know what you mean, i hate it, i dont get into christmas spirit till the weekend of or before thanksgiving day.

WEll i might as well start christmas shopping.

Its like this EVERY year, and every year somebody says its coming out earlier, but it isn't. Just like every time summer comes, its "the hottest summer ever."

well sometimes it does like i remember shopping in Filenes once and i saw a bunch of christmas stuff on sale in a corner of thr store next to the escalatorsit's true i tell ya!
