engine swap h22a1 into 95 prelude se

I'm swapping out my h23 with an h22a1, but I'm leaving in the h23 transmission. what pros or cons are there to doing this in terms of hp or acceleration?

hp will be the same of course, acceleration would technically be a bit slower but you shouldn't have trouble staying in vtec while shifting with the h23 tranny so it wont be affected very much. better gas mileage would be an advantage.

h23 tranny is geared a little bit differently (shorter i think?) but it shouldn't affect you all that much, HP will be the same, acceleration may be somewhat different though.

yes it does...i meant that if you used the h23 transmission w/h22 engine...the hp (190) won't decrease.

sorry i wasn't clear.

I looked at the receipt they gave me when I got the engine and it listed the compression ratios of each cylinder: 12, 12 11.5, 12

is this bad? I thought h22a1's were supposed to be 11.
