Flex disks
Unique to the Mercedes is a vibration damping item called a "flex disk". They mount at either end of the driveshaft in the 124 body. They can be had from Rusty at buymbparts.com or at 1-800-741-5252. Cost=$55.09each. Shipping is free. Like replacing the rear, upper control arms, the difference can be felt right away after installing. Droning noise while cruising goes away as well as the "clunk" when coasting to a stop. P.
